IE settings, when Internet explorer crashes

If IE is crashing when you launch the program usually it is a toolbar or plug-in causing this.

A quick way of resolving this issue would be to, remove the toolbar settings via the control panel. In vista – Click Start / Control panel / Network and Internet / Internet options /

You have 2 choices.
  1. If you know or have an idea what plug-in or toolbar is causing the problem. Go to Manage Browser add-ons and you will be in the tab programs, click manages add-ons and you will be presented with a list of all installed add-ons. Find the one it is and disable it apply and close, restart IE and see if works.
  2. If you don’t have an idea which tool bar or plug-in it is, this method will reset IE back to original settings. Repeat method 1 up until you enter the tab for programs but this time enter the advanced tab in the top right hand corner. When you are in advanced tab you will see 2 buttons, Restore advanced settings and Reset. Click them both, then apply, close and re-launch IE.
Check it works, but you will have to go through the set up page again, it only takes a few seconds.
